Malena hires Danny Stoller as Senior sales
executive

Malena Produce, Inc., Nogales, Arizona is announcing
that Danny Stoller will be joining the company as senior salesman.
Mr. Stoller brings 25 years of premium produce sales and marketing
knowledge, along with a leadership role in crop planning and post-harvest
issues. He will be joining a team of very experienced and committed
produce professionals including Ana Astrid Celaya, sales manager,
and Pat Leal, sales representative.
“His responsibilities will include creating marketing plans
for retail, club and foodservice customers, improving the execution
of contracts and special programs, and helping Malena gain a stronger
presence in retail and foodservice,” said Ana Astrid Celaya.
Danny’s most recent position was sales representative at
Rene Produce. Prior to that, he spent 9 years at Bionova Produce,
inc. (formerly R.B.Packing) as sales manager, 9 years at JC Sunny
Winter and 6 years at Ritclo.
Gonzalo Avila, Malena’s general manager, stated that “In
the time that I have been directly associated with Malena, I have
been continually impressed with the tremendous assets we have including
an outstanding product line, a very integrated grower base in Mexico
and top notch facilities.” Mr. Avila continued, “From
here, we want to grow the company to the next level, and Danny
is the ideal choice.”
“Danny’s knowledge and experience of the issues that
grower-shippers are facing today regarding consolidation, upgrading
customer relationships and working with value added products will
serve him extremely well in his new position,” said Francisco
Obregon, a consultant in charge of marketing for Malena. “Danny
and I had the pleasure of working together at Master’s Touch
and I look forward to teaming up again at Malena.”
